According to Ripley's Believe It or Not!—not the most reliable of sources, but lets try to keep an open mind—Mum-Zi, a member of Chief Akkiri's harem on the island of Calabar, Nigeria, became a mother at 8 years and 4 months. Her daughter also delivered a child at age 8, making Mum-Zi a grandmother—at age 17.

There was a girl in Mexico 20 years ago who had a kid at the age of 5 . When she was 10 she became a grandma , when her kid had a kid ! I just remembered this when I saw that post on the 6 year old from China , who had a kid . I think she was the world's youngest grandma . Kids need to stop growing up sooo fast ! Razzy

"the girl in that photo was 5 years old when she had her son on mothers day 1937 she was raped by her uncle who was 37 and he was at the time not prosecuted by the authoritys to my knowledge but i do believe the fellow villagers dealt with him in there own way (which resulted in his death) The girl did not consent to sex with him and i do not understand why so many posting this story write it as if she were willing. her son died at age 30 of a bone desease and she had another son but this time she was an adult and was married. Her parents raised her first born son as if he was there own and lead him to believe his mother was his sister he only found out shortly before his death very sad story very sick and so wrong. girl had a desease that gave her early onset periods at 8 months old and that is how it was possible for her to get pregnant and give birth at 5 years 8 months.again though very sick and sad. and before his death must have been very discusted to realize how he became about. the girl was his mother,(adopted)sister,cousin he was her cousin,son,(adopted)brother sick sad world i cant say it enough and sorry for going on about it but wanted to clariy a few things. another sick thing is that the doctors exploited her story to make themselves famouse."
